I absolutely love paper lanters for decor! They’re super cheap and a ton of variety. This makes it super easy to create something really unique, you AND affordable.
I’ve seen people hang a single color throughout their entire reception hall, hang a few over the dance floor in different sizes, shapes and colors, and have even seen them hung from trees! The look is always stunning!
Tulle – It’s Cool Again…Really!
I am absolutely loving what people are doing with Tulle these days!
It’s still a beautiful accent on stair wells and reception hall ceilings. BUT, tulle roses are so pretty on everything from ceremony and reception chairs to other decorative items.

A Candy Favor Table For Decor
If you decide to give your guests candy as a favor, your candy buffet is an excellent to decorate.
The KISS couples I’ve featured on the site go all out with containers, scoops, and even the type of candy that they pick.
The candy colors often match their theme. And, sometimes, when possible the candy even matches their theme. For example, if you are planning a beach wedding you can get candy in the shape of whales and/or starfish.
Lighting and Your Decor
Everything from luminaries lighting your walkways to the fairy lights on a reception are a simple (and cheap) way to give your wedding reception decor some ambiance.
If you’re planning an outdoor wedding, pretty fairly lights for your tent and surrounding trees are an obvious addition. You can also get Luminaries to light up walkways.
